REVOLUTIONARY AC INDUCTION MOTOR DRIVE SOFTWARE COMPLETES HARDWARE TESTING

Following Initial Testing at MIT’s Laboratory for Manufacturing and Productivity (LMP), Final Hardware Tests Conclude

ARMONK, NY, January 28, 2013 – AC Kinetics, Inc. announced it has completed hardware testing of its new high-performance AC induction motor control software that uses significantly less energy than conventional AC drives. At the heart of the technology is a novel control architecture based on nonlinear optimization theory. This new architecture enables an AC drive to achieve, for the first time, the highest levels of performance while minimizing the excess energy normally wasted as heat in conventional drives. The motor runs considerably cooler, and the energy savings translate directly to greatly reduced operating costs. Application areas include alleviating range anxiety in electric vehicles and energy savings for industrial equipment. The setup process for the drive software is highly automated, eliminating the possibility for human configuration errors. The software is now available for licensing.
