To demonstrate the AC Kinetics software, the engineering team designed and constructed a precision, instrumented test stand. One by one, several hand-tuned commercial drives were tested against a hardware implementation of the AC Kinetics solution. Each drive was commanded to perform various tasks under different loading conditions while performance and energy usage were compared on the test stand. A block diagram and photograph of the testing stand are shown below.
The results were impressive.
